Issue #3 of the Fringe comic series was released yesterday. The comic features the main Bell/Bishop back-story called “The Escape” – a continuation from the previous issue, and a stand-alone story titled “Run Away”.
Both stories serve as an excellent extension to the Fringe Universe, with the second story “Run Away” being my personal favourite of the two. We have a few scans from each story that we’ll share with you below. Continue below and after the jump to view a sampling of what awaits you in this latest Fringe comic:
“THE ESCAPE” – The Bell/Bishop Story (sampling)
RUN AWAY (sampling)
Warning: Slight spoilers! As I mentioned above, “Run Away” captured my imagination. I loved the placid, yet disturbingly ominous narrative. I could actually see such a character turning up on the show one day. I’m also wondering about the emphasis on the kids blue eyes – similar focus was given to William Bell’s eyes, particularly when he’s looking through the key hole in the main story.
Anyway, it’s well worth picking up a copy as there’s plenty to dig into – a good way to get your Fringe fix during this ridiculous hiatus (thanks a bunch, Idol!). I’d imagine that these comics will be like gold-dust in years to come. OK, maybe not gold-dust, but they’re nice collectors items.
Big thanks to our good friend, Fringeling for the above scans!
You can purchase the full comic online, or at your local comic stockists. Comic Shop Locator is a good resource, as is Legion of Comics (especially good for UK residents). Head to Wildstorm for more details.
