With the Fringe season 1 finale on the horizon, I’ve begun to wonder what the defining moment of that final episode will be. “Lost” has a habit of incorporating a game-changing scene into each of its season finale’s – indeed, all of them are given a secret code-name by the producers in a bid to keep the decisive scene secret from “ruiners”, and as a way of having a little fun.

For instance, the secret code-name for the Lost season 4 finale was “The Frozen Donkey” wheel – an epic moment no-one saw coming and one that will live in this Lost fan’s memory for a very long time. The name – ‘Frozen Donkey Wheel’, makes little sense until you actually see the scene, of course, but they certainly did not let us Lost fans down with that one.

There are “rules” for a game-changing scene though. It can be code-named something ridiculous like Lucy Loves Lollipops or Harris Heaves Heavily, but it must be one scene..one scene that completely alters the current perception of the show.
