Sky One Acquire UK Rights to Air Fringe
August 7, 2008 by FringeBlogger Roco
UK broadcaster Sky One, has acquired the rights to air JJ. Abrams Fringe:
“We’re delighted to have secured the rights to Fringe, which we believe will thrill a new generation of viewers much like The X-Filesdid 15 years ago,” said David Smyth, head of acquisitions at Sky1. “Together with Lost, we’re honoured to be the home for J.J. Abrams’ shows here in the UK!”
UK viewers wont have to wait long to get their Fringe fix, Sky One will air the show as part of their Autumn line-up. Lost and Fringe on the same channel? UK fans are in for a treat.
*As we reported the other day, Sweden’s Kanal have already snapped up rights to air Fringe in Sweden.
