Details for the upcoming Fringe book “September’s Notebook” have surfaced online along with pre-order functionality.
Written by Tara Bennett and Paul Terry (authors of the LOST Encyclopedia) the book, intriguingly subtitled “The Bishop Paradox,” is said to contain “new truths” about Fringe Division from the perspective of everyone’s hot-sauce, September. The book was initially teased during the Fringe Comic-Con panel.
September’s Notebook is slated for a February 2013 release but you can pre-order your copy using the links below. First, here’s the synopsis and artwork:
Delve into television’s most otherworldly phenomenon! Fringe: September’s Notebook is a uniquely in-world collection that explores the intricate destinies of Walter Bishop, Peter Bishop, and Olivia Dunham. Gathered by the Observer known only as “September,” these pages reveal new truths about the Fringe Division and Massive Dynamic. The book also closely examines the Amber timeline and the alternate universe “Over There.”
Packed with concept art, exclusive photos, and intriguing ephemera, September’s Notebook will satisfy every serious fan’s hunger for details about the Observers, quirks and little-known facts about each character, insight into Fringe Science, and much more. “Easter eggs” throughout build on the many symbols and codes woven into the show’s fabric, uncovering truths never before revealed.
With its layered storytelling, well-rendered characters, and complex overarching narrative, Fringe is the ideal show around which to publish, and Fringe: September’s Notebook provides a totally immersive reading experience.

If it comes out in February of next year, I’m not going to be so hasty about pre-ordering my copy right now… I did that on Amazon before and never received my package… I’m going to wait until Barnes and Noble has it for pre-order…

My god. That is the best thing I have ever seen.
Will it detail the whole of Seasons 1-5? Hopefully it won’t actually be written in Observer glyphs. =D

“Will it detail the whole of Season 1-5?”
I guess so, because it will be released after the finale…

I just spent 100 bucks on trading cards – got John Noble’s autograph card- what’s 30 more, besides it’s not coming out until next year. You could put a quarter to the side each day and by the time it comes out you got it
I almost positive that the price will go down and if you pre-ordered and it goes up you still get the lowest price. Besides if you pre-order your name might be in the book according to Joel Wyman at comic con.

I’m not sure observers have a childhood. Except of course if you count the bald kid from Inner child.

Ok guys, now you’re all so enthusiastic about it, but wouldn’t it be better to wait until it airs, read some reviews and than decide?
), they won’t know what to do with it, and so they will sell it and really cheap because almost no one would want to buy it.
Plus I’m sure in time it will be possible to get it for a realy good price, since there really aren’t that many dedicated fringies in the world. I’m sure a bunch of people will preorder it now but when fringe ends (
Plus you could probably get a pirate internet version somewhere online

I’m sorry, but I’m a real dedicated Fringe fan and always will be. I’ve had S4 on pre-order since last year. I’ve had the notebook on pre-order for at least 2 months already. I know what I will do with it. I’ll read it and treasure it. And I don’t want to buy it from someone who didn’t appreciate it. And pirating is illegal.

You can be as dedicated as you want but i don’t see the point in spending about a third of all my money, when in a few months time you could get the same thing for half the price.
And yeah pirating is technically illegal, but why is it any different than borrowing a book from a friend?? Somewhere along the line someone will have payed for it to make a copy, and as long as you don’t make money out of it and just read it for yourself- I don’t see much of a problem (:

I am a very dedicated fringie too! I think the amount of money you spend on a thing does not measure how dedicated you are to it. i am a very dedicated fringie, but I’m also very economical (my nation is kind of known for being economical). And beside, it’s economical crisis now, people losing jobs and economy crumbling to dust is the only thing in slovenian news.
Yes, pirating is illegal, but if you ask me it shouldn’t be. If you use for personal use, it’s fine. F*** ACTA
. I don’t know anyone, that never illegaly downloaded a song or movie, etc.
Don’t get me wrong, I do think it’s very cool, you’re preordering it, in diferent times I would too, but not now.(
