You know an episode is near when you see the words “press release”. FOX network have released the press release for the April 1st episode of Fringe, rather affectionately titled, “Peter”. Aww! It’s pretty much the same as the description that was included in their official season 3 renewal announcement, but it also has the cast list and broadcast times, which I know some of you will be interested in. Head past the jump if you want to have a peek.

“FRINGE” SPRINGS FORWARD BY REVEALING THE PAST THURSDAY, APRIL 1, ON FOX

Walter flashes back to 1985 while explaining Peter’s otherworldly origins to Olivia. Also, Peter’s mother (guest star Orla Brady) is introduced, and details of the neighboring world reaffirms that there is more than one of everything in the all-new “Peter” episode of FRINGE airing Thursday, April 1 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (FR-2.15) (TV-14)

All I can say is that this will surely be a must-see episode of Fringe (and dare I say, one of the few occasions we’ll actually have two back to back mythology episodes). If I’m wrong, I’ll become an Observer and go around drinking jars of hot sauce and hiring hitmen called Donald.

Is this the first time the see the name ‘Elizabeth Bishop’? I can’t remember any mentioning before…
No Leonard Nemoy in there – I’m beginning to wonder how they are going to make this work.

I believe from the noon-official sneak peek I watched ( I could not help myself) Bishop is in New York gaining funding for Walter and himself. It is interesting to see that the guest cast includes two generals. I wonder if they are Walter’s patron’s.

One name really popped out: August. I wonder what he has got to do with the 1985 ‘incident’.

I am going to hope ‘Peter’ will make people see Peter more differently instead of seeing him only as Olivia and Walter’s third wheel and that his story isn’t important to the myth-arc.
