GlowingMonkeys.com ‘Taken’ to the Fringe?

GlowingMonkeys.com, the site that was intentionally hidden in the Fringe pilot episode, have posted on their blog the effect of this visual reference they were given outside of the Massive Dynamic HQ. Apparently their site has been very sluggish lately due to us Fringies rabidly searching for clues.

Now here’s the thing, they’re playing it off as if they’re not connected with the show, in fact they call the show “science fiction” and reinforce their stance as being “science fact”.

So what ’s the deal - are glowingmonkeys.com a disconnected ‘player’ in the Fringe viral/ARG, or are they part of a ‘game’? If I were to take a guess, I’d say that they’re are an out of gameplayer, which has, perhaps unwittingly, been brought into the game because their content is something that the Fringe show runners (or the Fringe ARG producers) want to bring attention to, in terms of allowing us to “imagine the impossibilities”. By the way, their site is brilliant, and well worth the read, in-game or not.

They also give FringeBloggers.com some link love, which is always appreciated.

On a side note, has anyone recently checked out the “12 Fingered Man” Youtube page of Stuart Sims AKA Master Quark? Apparently ‘they’ removed his video, before putting back it up again with comments relating to Fringe and JJ. Abrams deleted. Should Fringe ARG hunters be keeping an eye on him? Those of you who weren’t around during the summer might want to check out this thread to get an idea of his potential in the Fringe ARG.
