Elizabeth!

We need Orla Brady as a regular. She’s amazing.

I liked Orla Brady as both Blue Liz & Red Liz. It can’t be easy to just be on the show periodically & have to do such difficult scenes with a regular main cast member such as John Noble. She’s such a good actress, she’s not upstaged by him onscreen.

It was too hard for me to choose between Walter and Walternate this time! They both definitely deserved the first place. John Noble is genius! In the end I chose Walter because he had more screen time)

IMO – I don’t like Elizabeth at all. Her performance was good, she’s beautiful and so on but for god knows what reason she irritates me soooo much……

I agree with all of that. The thing about Orla that is bugging you is probably the slight overacting when she gets all serious. I don’t wish to take away from her performance because I was very moved by it, maybe even more so because she managed to get me to feel (even if I was feeling irritation), but I think that’s it. Slight over acting aka her giving an almost monologue style sad stare into space look when she’s supposed to be sad. I thought it was just me until I read this post haha.

Either way she and everyone else were all very good. I don’t know who to vote for yet!

Roco: Walter and/or Walternate should be: “one of the many versions of Walter”. I really do believe that we’ve seen more versions of him in ‘Subject 13′.

But… being the huge Sarah-Jane Redmond fan that i am: i voted for Ashley. :P
Probably the only vote she gets, but nevertheless….

I’ve loved Sarah-Jane Redmond since she was the hellacious Lucy Butler on Millennium, but she was pretty much wasted here. My one disappointment in the episode. If Ashley turns up again and actually gets something to do, she may well get my vote.

I remember Sarah-Jane Redmond particularly from “Da Vinci’s Inquest.” Maybe she’ll be back with more to do in a future episode.

I voted for Walternate – this is actually the first time that I felt sympathetic towards him. Loved Walter too….especially his final decision to not put Olive through agony just to accomplish his ends! Little Olive was great as well – wasn’t moved so much by little Peter, as much as I was with the Peter in “Peter”….and, I was irritated a little to see that when Peter could realize that his parents were not actually his parents, even when he was so young, how could he not know his Olivia?

I couldnt choose. Young Peter and Olivia….were brilliant……and so was Elizabeth. So i opted not to vote. I could not choose between them.

I wish Orla Brady was a regular, she’s really phenomenal.
Elizabeth got Peter to finally stop thinking about the alt!world and in the process it leads to her suicide. That was just heartbreaking!

The scenes with Elizabeth and Peter were my favorites, but since I can only vote for one, I chose Elizabeth. Orla needs to be a regular in the show. She’s so wonderful!

This was a tough one since there is an argument for why pretty much all of the characters in this episode earned it this week. I was able to narrow it down to the two Elizabeths, and ultimately I went with Alternate Elizabeth. I am surprised that relatively few (less than 5!) have actually voted for her.

Her role was relatively minor, but of all the characters, I think she was the one I sympathized with the most (which is kind of a big deal, because I sympathized with a lot of the characters in this one). There was just something about her whole situation. The way she must have been beating herself up with guilt after her son was kidnapped, knowing she had just allowed it to happen. What the last six months must have been like for her as she has been questioned over and over again by the authorities, not to mention Walternate, regarding what happened. If Walternate is obsessed with figuring out what she was missing, you better believe she was constantly thinking about it, too. Her son was gone. Her marriage was falling apart. And yet she held on to that hope. She was able to stay strong throughout that and over the course of many years because of her love for Peter and her belief/hope that she would one day see him again. Through it all, she never gave up on that hope. And knowing what we do know, that she does have the chance to see him again, made that all the more powerful. I was impressed by the way she chose to react to extremely difficult circumstances and that she managed to stay strong despite that. I think that says a lot about her character. So for me, her whole story was compelling and emotional, and I thought it added a lot to her character. For those reasons, I decided to vote for alternate Elizabeth.

I’ve decided to vote for Eliznate, for similar reasons as yours, she has amazed me with her strength. But the system did not allow me to vote for her. Well I’ve insisted and I’m not sure if my vote finally got through.

Young Olivia was incredible. She manages to capture adult Olivia mannerism. I love the emotions she display and her acting range. I couldnt help but see a bit of adult Olivia in every scenes.

Obviously its a choice between great and great since they all did a great job. Walter, young Peter, Elizabeth. That was some fantastic episode. Can’t wait for the DVD.
