Nina.

And please guys – let’s be honest. This is definitely NOT Peter. At least not this time. Anybody but him. His “super-cosmo-jump” was probably the hardest part for him to play in this episode… even though it was a stunt who performed that jump)

Nina, for helping Walter overcome his difficulties and because the others (except Walter and the soul of bell even in his/her only line) weren’t that much impressive, that’s my opinion.

82 Votes for Peter, seriously ? This is a joke…

The “Fringie of the Week votes” are invaded by Dawson’s Creek shippers…

Unfortunately this poll is indeed invaded with them… That’s the only reason for such unfair distribution of the votes.

I don’t understand why you think Joshua Jackson’s acting was poor. I see Peter the character is supposed to be a con-man that likes to hang back unobtrusively and not keep his emotions on display.
I thought the scene where he was basically gritting his teeth through a smile when Olivia was assuming they were both playing the full disclosure game was spot on. Can you explain why you don’t think so?

Totally agree with you g33k. Also, Peter was distant and very distracted with the machine on his mind this episode. Every scene with Olivia, was showing that and slowly putting into place his realisation that he had to tell her. He wanted to share everything with her.

The machine and his destiny has slowly consumed Peter since the end of last season, to a full blown obsession. They’ve slowly showed it in bits and pieces through the season, and this episode was about Peter telling Olivia about it. Peter is in a bad way and Nina is the only person who can see it, at the moment.

It’s not i don’t like Josh Jackson, he seems like a pretty cool guy and Anna Torv also seems like a very nice person too. I like their caracters in the show but all the results of the votes (Olivia 30pts & Peter 28pts) come on… What a joke…

Peter, of course! He saved that kid with one awesome leap into the air and once again he had the guts to tell the truth to Olivia.

Peter is by far the most interesting character. He’s the key for creation/destruction, Walter is the cause of the problems and Olivia is a boring FBI agent with ridiculous ability…

He’s the key because someone made him tooo it , Walter is our blue genius and Olivia the gatekeeper .

If we will talk about what’s Peter was doing … the list will not end , am not even know how he can jump and fly without training :P

I will vote for William Bell ( the soul ) .

A toss between Olivia and William Bells spirit. Bellivia is definitely going to win next week.

The most boring character is Peter, passive in the entire story; he is not a key Olivia is the gatekeeper, the key. And with her abilities the one that will be able to master the machine.
To my, and many others, regret Olivia has been used for peters story the past episodes, and it shows, downward spiral. Until episode 9 from this season the energy was bursting thanks to Olivia/Fauxlivia and Anna Torv.
Olivia is the most interesting character, and Anna Torv the most fascinating actress.

I’m giving it to Astrid this week for being as p.o.’d with Walter as I am. Second place to Peter for practically washing his hands of him. Nina tried to dissuade Walter, but was ineffectual. Bell deserves hell for his complete disregard for the rights of others. Dr. Krick had no originality. And Olivia, while cute in her happiness, didn’t have much to do this time.

I very rarely vote for the minor characters in an episode, but this was one of those few times when I did. Looking at the list of characters, there really weren’t any who stood out to me from this episode. In the end, I went with Michael. I was very impressed by his response and his attitude in this episode. The whole scene where he confronted his dad worked really well for me and was one of the best parts of the whole episode. I had expected the parallel between Michael and his father and Peter and Walter, that he would be upset when he found out the truth and that his dad had hurt people like he did. But I hadn’t expected the whole perspective about how he was happy with his life and how he was hurt that his father felt like he had to fix him. I was impressed by the way he adapted to his circumstances in life and how, despite his illness, he was truly happy. And I liked the way he reacted to what his father had done. In my opinion, that was a much better response than what we got when Peter found out the truth about what Walter had done. So I’ll probably be the only one, but I voted for Michael because I found his role in this episode to be believable and meaningful. It enhanced the episode and it left an impression on me.

Annoying? Yes. Can it be helped? No.

There are fans of certain characters, namely Peter, who simply will not pass up the opportunity to vote for them/him, regardless of what it means or how unfair it may be.

It’s a definite shame.

I vote for Olivia because she IS my favorite character, always was and always will be! I just meant to say that J. Noble/Walter also deserves a vote but since I can only vote once I’ll support Olivia. J. Jackson is also a great actor, I like him a lot. If I could give 3 votes, everybody would get one from me :)

what’s wrong with people up here ???
olivia’s fans: peter is boring blah lah blah
peter’s fans : olivia is boring blah blah blah
I’m I the only one who’s in love with BOTH of them ???
and I hate it to see fans insulting peter or olivia just because they want their beloved character to win this week …… O God !!!
by the way to fans who claims that olivia is not interesting or peter is not interesting >>> WTH ??? everyone is interesting and has its own storyline , and they has compeletely different characters that you should understand and enjoy in stade of giving DUMP thoughts just because of some kind of affection to a character or an ACTOR/ACTRESS ……
and about people who are thinking that joshua jackson is poor , I really don’t think we are watching the same show , you want emotional side of peter ?? really ? then go and watch what lies below , what the hell did you want him to do this episode ?? don’t you understand that the ep was not focused on either peter or olivia ? till the end when we received Bell? and what is so wrong about olivia’s storyline ?? It’s wonderful …. God !!!! even anna aand josh themselves wouldn’t think of such stupid comments I’ve read
Plz don’t try and insult fringe cast otherwise your honestly proving you know definetly nothing about acting !!!
fringe has the best cast in the whole world and that’s not gonna change …. and we don’t like it to change !!! just because some obssessed fan wanted so !

I’m so sorry !! but I’m really pissed … I can’t believe that fringe fans are thinking this way !!….. it’s really disappointing !

I was preparing a long rant similar to yours with quotes and all, but you saved me from making the effort. Obviously, I should have went off and insulted everybody, who didn’t vote for Elizabeth in the previous poll, because nobody has the right to have a different opinion. Instead of stating the reasons I vote for a character (or not if I don’t feel like it) and accept the results, I should berate everyone, who dares to think differently.

Joel Wyman said that they know of Fringe Bloggers, so that makes me cringe even more to see this kind of disrespect in the comments.

For the record, ALL of the Fringe cast is wonderful. Among the leads, Anna is so versatile with whatever role is given to her, Josh can say it all without even speaking, and John can give you those Walter moments interspersed with “wow, he’s gone a bit Walternate there…”

Aimee,

Totally agree – all the Fringe cast rocks and they bring their best every episode.

I just wish when people would state their opinion they could elaborate why a little more mellifluously… especially those that post a similar reply over and over. I would like to understand why we’re on completely different wavelengths.

No offense to Roco, but I suspect that this poll is less than official and therefore the outcome of the poll will mean nothing in the grand scheme of Fringe. I’m pretty sure it’s just for fun. It really doesn’t matter if Peter and Olivia fans hate each other, love each other, care whether a character jumps onto another character, “gets” the “deeper meaning” of the show, etc. All that matters is that people keep watching, the show stays on the air, that way we can all watch the show and enjoy it on whatever level we see fit, yes?

That being said I voted for Nina. My favorite moments on the show are frequently the ones that seem real and while I know some people weren’t too keen on the Peter and Olivia goo fest, I thought it brought out some great lines and acting moments. Peter’s “Really?” was fun, and so was Olivia’s inflection on the line about making out in front of Dad. Walter trying to be coy was a riot but Nina trying to be coy was even better. (Side note: as for Olivia smiling constantly I’d be smiling too. Sure the universe is going to hell but the pheromones are flowing and everyone around her is acting like a fool. There is no way I could look at Nina and keep a straight face as she waxes poetical about handholding no matter how much trauma I had endured in my life!) I don’t think Nina gives two hoots, she’s just happy that Peter has, in her mind, chosen her universe! That coupled with her response to Walter and the soul magnets means that, for me, Nina was Fringie of the Week.

Hard to pick this week, wasn’t really a standout for me. I went with Walter more due to him being lower in the overall poll than the other key characters.

Let’s remember folks that we are supposed to be voting for the CHARACTER we liked the most, not whether or not the actors who played them did a good job or not. The poll is not about Joshua Jackson and Anna Torv as actors. It’s about whether you think Peter, or Olivia or Walter or whoever, added significance to the story and whether you enjoyed their role in this particular episode. Sometimes a character is just not given much screen time and doesn’t make much of an impact.

And with that thought in mind, I was really torn between Nina and Peter. Nina, who at first was very dubious, is showing herself to be a huge encouragement to Walter. It will be interesting to see her interacting with Bellivia in the next episode. But I went with Peter on this one. He seemed so torn for much of the episode and then at the end finally came clean with Olivia knowing that it might cause a huge rift. To me, Olivia was a little too sappy, Walter was annoying for much of it, and poor Astrid was just PO’d at Walter the entire time.
