Loved Walter (as always), but Simon sacrificed himself into an eternity of Amber!

lol, I think whether he is ambered for “eternity” depends upon how well HIC’s new show does before a possible season 5 of fringe begins, because i reckon they could make him a regular if his new show gets cancelled

I’m really torn on this. I love HIC, and I liked the Simon character, but I hope they don’t try to add more characters. I want the big 3 back working together on cases or DRJ or whatever and no more of this silly soap-opera stuff.

Hands down … Walter. The dimensions of the character John Noble showed in this episode was acting par excellence.
Windmark’s character was also “perfect” in his execution of the role, in my opinion.

You can’t go wrong with either…however Etta looks so much like ourliv and she was quite good in the episode. NOt trying to sway your vote or anything.

Lol Etta looks nothing like Olivia aside from having green eyes and blond hair

Well their both gorgeous. That has to count for something.

They are both beautiful and yes they fit super well as mother and daughter, but what’s amazing is that their acting and characters are a delight to see, even in the worst situation when the strong, confident, stubborn agent is nowhere near where she needs to be. We need more of these women with strong life experiences that can make you feel connected to a story. Etta did it in one episode, and Olivia has done it in abundance without a doubt.

So ridiculous….
This is where I get flamed: Despite the fact that when I got the chance to meet Joshua Jackson he was sweet and funny and charming, I’ve always felt he was the weakest link on the show (aside from Linc, and despite this I like them both).
I’ve never understood the people who go on about what a great actor he is. His one move seems to be glowering into the middle distance.
*runs away and hides*

I agree. He seems like a nice guy but literally everything he’s ever been in (besides Fringe when it was still good) is pretty much crap.

How is that his fault? If you’re not Ryan Gosling, you don’t get to pick and choose what projects you do as an actor – you have to take what you can get. If you read between the lines you can tell that he loves having the chance to work on a good show for once and that’s why he’s a fan of Fringe. And he is a good actor. Obviously there is a huge chasm between him and say, John Noble, so don’t assume that his fans are automatically so blinded by fangirl hysteria that they can’t tell that. Yes, a few people still voted for him, presumably to piss you off.
These comments were amusing at first, now they’re tiring. Stop being so bitter and get over yourself.

Josh Jackson is a good actor if given good material, not his fault if the writers have never given him that much to do on Fringe.
I don’t see much difference with fangirls voting for JJ, and people like me who vote for Captain Windmark, simply because he has a cool name. We vote because we can, the correct winner usually wins each week anyway.
Hot debate. What do you think?
9
The only the other thing i have seen him in apart from fringe was a film called “one week” which was actually really good lol. I can see where all of you are coming from but I would also argue an average actor can look amazing with amazing lines and would say Anna Torv has sometimes been seriously, seriously overrated over the course of the show, dont get me wrong shes a good actress but i dont think shes AS good as some people say.
Hot debate. What do you think?

JM, even if you don’t like Anna’s acting, which you’ve stated several times; Olivia and Walter are much better characters than Peter, only this season they’ve really done the awkward thing to do, which is give the weak link some slack, but then they’ve managed to almost ruined 2 of their awesome character because of that. And now we have average everything…and that’s not what Fringe is.
Well-loved. Like:

I dont, not like her acting, I just dont think its the best thing ever. I do agree however that Olivia and Walter were once very good characters, Olivia has suffered badly from the reboot as amberolivia was awful and boring, and i agree the character has been pretty much ruined by the P/O romance. Walter turned into a petulant child in the reboot aswell, so on that we agree as well, I blame the producers for that.

Oh, please don’t remind me of Walter from the beginning of the Season! Terrible!
Even John Noble couldn’t cope with that “material”.

He was humble and adorable, to say the least, in his acceptance speech.

good actor + good material + good character isn’t too encouraging, but yet he’s on top and above Olivia, Walter, Nina, Broyles, DRJ
replace the word good for awesome and that’s the one(s) who ought to be on top, so for me your last statement is contradictory. “the correct winner usually wins each week anyway”

Season 1 Episode 6: The Cure was filmed in front of my apartment in Brooklyn, NY. The apartment itself can be seen in the overhead shot of the diner and surrounding buildings.
The chairs that the cast members (John, Anna, Josh & Lance) sat in between takes were off to the side of the diner, 3 feet from my front door.
They had an overzealous (read: f*cking crazy) P.A. that tried to block me from entering my apartment. I’m pretty sure he realized I was about to wig out and jumped up to diffuse the situation. Apparently I wasn’t the first person she decided to scream at. She was not there on the 2nd and 3rd days of the shoot. After that I saw him in my local coffee shop the next 2 mornings and he was quite chatty and I talked to him about how he liked his new show. (Fringe was still 2 weeks from the series premiere).
It’s kind of funny. He was sweet and interesting, but I only had eyes for Lance Reddick, as he was on Lost briefly as Abbadon and my thought process went something like SINCEYOU’REONTHISSHOWDOESTHATMEANYOU’REDONEWITHLOST?TELLMEWHATYOUKNOW!
Anna and John were sweet as well, though I didn’t get to say much to them other than Hello. And John looked completely miserable the entire time. They were filming scenes in those biohazard suits and it must have been murderously hot under there cause they kept having to reapply makeup and hydrate the poor guy after every take.
It was pretty cool to watch an episode of Fringe being made from my bedroom window even though I had no clue I would become such a fan:)

Season 1 (Oh, the time before budget cuts!) was filmed in New York. The scene filmed in front of my place was in Red Hook, Brooklyn (though in the episode it was labelled as a suburb of Boston lol).
Also, the streetlamps lining my street in the scene don’t exist, they are totally CGI, which was really neat to see when the episode aired:)

This was tough. Simon was amazing made a great sacrifice, Walter was wonderful on both sides of the spectrum and I love Bell just for the fact that he showed up! But Henrietta gets my vote mostly because of Haig’s uncanny ability to channel Torv, so much so that my brother wondered if it actually WAs Olivia in a new body!!

Peter ALWAYS gets so many votes, because some people vote for Peter, regardless of the concept. In a EIIRP he said about one sentence, and he came sixth.
This week he even had TWO lines, so naturaly, he comes fourth.

This ep was soooo well done, I had a heckava time, too. I finally went for Walter because he played two distinct characters and made the two instantly recognizable as being different.
Even though the ep was well done, at the end I just stared at the credits and finally uttered “Huh? What does this have to do with anything?” I swear that it looks almost like Anna was having some kind of contract problem and so they had to make up a story without her being in it.
Anyway, it WAS well done and now, can we please just get on with it????

As much as I loved both Walter and Simon, the honor goes to Etta. I didn’t start caring for Olivia nowhere near that quickly.
And don’t be so mean to Peter fans, I’d say he deserves that spot due to his touching reaction at the end of the episode.
