I have to admit, this was a tough decision, all main characters were great and Alice was amazing, but Walter’s expression near the end of the episode got me, go Walter!

This one was so hard to choose. There were so many amazing moments for several of the characters. Broyles had tears in his eyes at the thought of ambering Olivia and Peter in the building and Walter broke my heart several times throughout the episode. If it had been a choice, I would have voted for Peter and Olivia because they worked so well as a team with this one. They complemented each other perfectly and it was them together who saved the day. But since I had to choose, I went with Olivia. She went through an entire range of emotions in 43 minutes, finally choosing to get out of the safe place she made for herself so that she could make herself vulnerable to Peter. It took so much strength and courage for her to do that. Not to mention the determination to rise above and find another solution to the amber. Plus, I was so thrilled to see her starting to come back to the Olivia we all know and love and that took guts. On a side note, Anna did such an amazing job with this episode that I don’t think I could have voted for anyone else…the often silent way she expressed her emotions was so awesome to see.

I voted for Peter. Not only because he managed to get through to Olivia and Alice, but because he said his “there has to be another way” and that was the set of mind, that ended up healing the crack over here and over there. My second choice would have been Walter, who was also brilliant. Finally, I have to mention the lovely Alice. Great character and actress :D

Quit true ! That was my thought too, and I adored the last scene with Alice !
“you already have what most of us only dream of … a lifetime with the person you love ……” that was awsome !!

I voted for Peter too…..but it was a tough call. Olivia was FANTASTIC in this episode as was Alice Merchant. For me it was a 3 way tie….but i could only choose one …..and Peter it is! I can still hear the line….’there has to be a better way’..ringing in my ears. Im glad he still is thinking about the survival of both universes.

I chose Walter for this one because he was really realizing the predicament of Walternate using Amber and the final scene with Nina. Though, Olivia really had to move past her fear and admit she wanted Peter.

And I was nicely surprised to see Marlene from The Big C playing Alice.

Tough call, but I’m going with Olivia. She accused, she was flip, she floundered, she forgave, she was forward, she was visionary, determined, and at a loss. She was real, struggling, awkward, terrified, and I was squeamish myself in the face of it all. WELL played!
I want this woman to continue to reveal herself brilliantly, and shine baby, shine!

My vote goes to Olivia. Anna Torv is an actress with a capital A. Just captivating. Sidenote … if her birth date is in September, could she possible be a Libra ? I am thinking balance and the scales.

Anna Torv’s birthday, is listed on imdb as April 15, (If that is right) that makes her a Aries, and its element is Fire. :)

The info there is wrong. Anna was born in June 1979, n the date appears everywhere on the Internet(15th April 1978) is wrong. This has been confirmed by annatorv.com Anna mentioned before that she received a gift from her brother during her birthday in June but she didn’t state the actual date of her birthday.

Regarding Olivia’s birthdate, if I’m not mistaken I saw on the cortexiphan packet when she’s over there on Entrada was 16th September 1981. So that makes her a Virgo. But how come she’s born on 1981? I remembered Olivia saying she was 4 years old when the cortexiphan trial happened to her and that was in 1983. Some confusion there on the date by the writers perhaps?

Olivia in 1978 ( she said twice that she was 3 years old in 1981 when the cortexiphan trial started ) .

I think Altbrandon did put Faulivia’s information on the cortexiphan packet 16st sep 1981 , but still no conformation for this .

it depends on the date, really. If it’s the beginning of september then no, she’d be a Virgo, but if it’s towards the end of the month then yes, Libra.

so the fringie of the week is anna torv ! :D
I THINK THERE IS DIFFERENCE BETWEEN the fringie of the week and the favorit character and the favorit actress ! or else this poll wouldn’t be necessary since we’ll have always the same results ! LOOOL
by the way I adore anna torv and her character rocks for sure and she’s without a doubt My only favorite actress but I didn’t vote for Olivia this week !
and this week’s story about facing fear was typical I think , each one of us do that in periodes of our life , sorry but nothing was special about that .

Perhaps I’m misunderstanding your comment, but I think that’s exactly what makes it special. One of the reasons Fringe is so compelling is because it highlights themes and ideas that the viewers can relate to. And when you can relate to something, it makes the emotion and the connection to it that much deeper and stronger. It’s the way they explore those themes and feelings, the way they make me think and apply those same ideas to my own life, that makes Fringe more than just another TV show. And I hope they never stop doing that.

And, yes, I agree that Fringie of the Week is meant to be more than just your favorite character/actor. Olivia is my favorite character and I’ll admit that sometimes that makes it difficult for me to want to vote for anyone but her, but there are episodes where there has clearly been a standout character and so ultimately I vote for them, despite my personal favorite. And I think it’s important for fans to keep that distinction in mind when they vote.

I understand you point but what I meant is that there was a Uniquely great story back there about Alice and her husband , and I m completely with the way fringe explores feelings and emotions, well that what I like about it too , but usually those feelings are related to something more hunting even if it is similar to stuff we encounter everyday ,and usually we see olivia’s character dealing with her emotionnal state, but this just seemed ordinary to me this time , especially comparing it to the way they handled her fear in jacksonville which seemed more deep and so in character . I hope I explaned it well this time ! I have this trouble explaning things :D
