There is no review as of yet. I’ve been looking for it as well. There are a lot going on in that episode, I’m sure Roco will post his masterpiece soon :-)

My love for Olivia won out again this week, but I really appreciated AltBroyles as a standout character that did something extremely important for the fate of both worlds. His act should end up being a huge turning point in the history between the two universes. I hope he gets a lot of votes here.

For me both Olivia and Alt-Livia, Anna Torv was just awesome as both.
Loved the scene of alt-livia agitated, cocky and at the very end her you could see her doubt about the absence of alt-broyles.

But voted for Olivia, because of the scene with alt-broyles, asking him for help, and the agony for being almost disected, and you can vote only for one, sadly.

Yes. I definitely saw the expression on alt-Liv’s face. Great acting doesn’t need dialogue.

Ok Roco, I’m confused.
Don’t you normally do a review first before you do the FOTW? Or did I miss it?

My favorite was Peter by far, but my second vote would have gone to Broylnate.

I just voted for Peter as well. But i was torn. Olivia was awesome and AltBroyles was brilliant. Why Peter….i guess because he finally snapped back into action..back to his old self…..and i actually felt his pain, guilt and regret. Boy is he in for a boat load more of that tho. And so is the adorable Olivia. My heart breaks for them both.

Was I the only one who didn’t see anything spectacular about Joshua Jackson’s performance?
It wasn’t even comparable to say Lance Reddick or, of course, Anna Torv.

Nope, I didn’t get it either. I guess the fans are just excited about Peter thinking with his brain again. That’s cool.

The poll is about the character not the actor. That’s what people are voting on. You seemed to be confused about that.

If that is so, how come the p-guy always gets the top points even for 10 seconds in episode 2 and 4 and 7?In those episodes he did nothing, others had far more input.

It would have been better if you were given 3 votes, now people arefor example torn between the two olivias, and it looks like only the olivia/alt-livia fans are willing to vote for alt-broyles or guest stars.
p=guy will get all the votes from the same group even if you would only se his toe.
So at the end of tis season p=guy will win, as gad-p and normal p are counted as one, and the girls vote for him no matter what.

Hopefully the Golden Globes and Emmy’s are more honest.

Big mistake, I mean the Over there episodes, 3, 5, 7, he was hardly in tehre and still got almost all the votes.
In the Over here p=guy was never better than Alt-livia, Walter or Newton and Nina, but still got all the votes.

Oh, please give it a rest.

If people want to vote for Peter it’s their choice. That’s what a poll is for, so that people can vote for who they want to vote for. You obviously vote for Olivia which is your choice, so why are you having a go at other people’s choices?

As other people have said on here it is a poll about the character and not the actor. Read the first sentence at the top of the page, which states just that. You obviously have a problem with how Roco has set the poll up for the different characters. So, please don’t take it out on the voters. It’s their choice who they vote for. Take it up with Roco.

I really, REALLY wanted to vote for Olivia… She’s my favorite and, once again, she was phenomenal in this episode. But I couldn’t. As much as I wanted to vote for her, I had to give it to alternate Broyles.

He completely earned it. His sacrifice is what ultimately allowed Olivia to return home. I can’t forget that. I was so impressed by his choice to support Olivia. Despite the risks, despite the fact that he would be going against everything he’d been trained to do, despite the fact that he was essentially betraying his own people by doing what he did, despite the fact that she could easily have been lying to him, he chose to help her. That was no simple choice for him, nor was it a small thing. But he believed that Olivia could provide a better solution. And once he chose to support her, he stood by her all the way. He didn’t back down. He made sure she would get home. That devotion and sacrifice and that genuine concern for both worlds surely earns him the recognition of the standout character for this episode.

Completely agree.

As lovely as it was to have our Olivia come home, and as much as Anna Torv killed it during that scene begging alternate Broyles to help her, I had to give it to alt/Broyles for all the reasons you listed. He had every reason in the world NOT to trust Olivia. As he said, “You’d say anything because your life depends on it.” and he was right. Fortunately, or unfortunately given what happened to him, Olivia will do everything in her power to uphold her promise to him. His sacrifice will not be in vain.

There is no other choice… As great as Olivia was, she would probably be Brandonate’s science project if it weren’t for Broylesnate. Olivia would not have made it back Over Here without him. So again, there is no other choice; it’s Broylesnate all the way.

He sacrificed his life to save Olivia and make both worlds a better place. That’s the true hero in this episode. Olivia didn’t do crap compared to what Broylesnate did.

oops didn’t finish: I hope there will be new Fringe episodes far into the future. It better not get cancelled. I have already recruited 4 people to watch it every week, they all love it! Also i wrote a review for it in my school newspaper, so I hope my peers take the hint and watch it.
Fringe forever.

I have been reviewed season 2 last weekend myself. Even my husband noticed me watching a lot of Fringe lately. But I could not see it live, I have to rely on HULU.com the next day. Moving to Friday definitely is not kind to me.

BTW, where is the I-am-sure-to-be-spetacular-review :)

Hm. Anna Torv played two roles in this episode equally well. But only one of them is recognized with top votes. – That doesn’t seem fair.

mlj102 December 6, 2010 at 11:29 pm

How is it not fair? This poll is for best CHARACTER of the episode, not best actor/actress/performance. Yes, Anna Torv did a spectacular job with both Olivia’s in this episode… But that doesn’t mean the two should be grouped together or that they automatically deserve the same amount of votes. It’s a matter of opinion for best character performance, and apparently the majority of people prefer Olivia’s role/performance over that of alternate Olivia. I see nothing unfair about it.

Joshua Jackson was amazing in this episode, it’s good to finally see them giving him something to do other than being a ‘trigger’ for Olivia or Walter, that’s getting old :(

Alt-Broyles for being so brave for overcoming his internal conflict about Olivia, and went ahead as far as sacrificing himself for the greater good. Of couse I have to a honorary mention of both Olivias for dealing with each of their pressing situation. Peter for being aggresive and sharp on handling the situation. Walter for his “Vagenda” comment. Alt-Brandon for his creepy suggestion to walternate “Do you want to send her back alive or dead?” He is so cold in this episode and treated Olivia as a piece of meat to be cut up and studied.
