I knew it– the baby is a plot ploy to get our lovley Petah back to the other side. I guess it had to happen. The good news for me is that it does not mean that he is going back for her. He will be going to just to do the right thing for the baby.

I have a feeling that this will all work out for the good.

Babies are a fact of life. As a woman, I kind of find it offensive that people get so worked up over one of the most natural and mysterious things in the universe; the creation of new life. Peter is in his 30′s. He’s had sex. For whatever reason, his partner conceived. It’s purely natural. However, momma hopping universes is not, so we’ll see the results of that.

Fringe has been about the love of a father for a son. Walter has said:

“You have no idea what it’s like to lose a child.”

“You see, family is very important to me. There’s nothing I wouldn’t do.” *looks at Peter*

To Peter in a letter in white Tulip, “There is NOTHING that I would not do for you.”

And the numerous times he has spazzed and said he can’t lose Peter again.

Peter will have to come to grips with what it means to be a father. Sometimes it means letting go as much as it hurts. Or it could mean a lifetime of paying the price for making family the most important thing. Peter essentially has 2 families; Over There, Over Here. His choice/journey is going to be a lot harder than Walter’s.

You bring up something I’ve been thinking. The doctors claim the baby is healthy, but jumping universes had to have some effect on the fetus. I’m sure the writers will deal with this eventually, because it would be a huge hole is they don’t really given that most people have to take multiple days to recoup from crossing.

Plus the fact that Peter’s genes may be defective…

” be better man than your father ” , if Peter will take the child with him to over here , he will be just as his father .

The time which Peter will choose to go over there it’s the time which he will loose Olivia , after all he is from the red universe but he is belonging with Olivia .

The baby will die ! , Peter left his real mother and real father and real universe to be with Olivia and to have a family , if he will choose to go back there .. it will not be for the baby ! Peter must be more smart than that !

his father was about to kill him in order to destroy a whole universe
and as far as his mother is concerned , he met her for just a while before having the huge decision of his life , you can say he got used to “not having a mother around ” besides olivia asking him to come back
but now there is BABY !!!! its hell more different than that !! people can live with the fact that “there is no familly around any more” but for their OWN CHILDREN !!! Nop! it just can’t be !
no one with a clear conscious can do that !

“no one with a clear conscious can do that ”

LoL ! …. what if he will go after a baby and leave an other baby behind ?

Still .. what you can say about the divorce ? and the babies in there ?

I sorry But I think that’s exactly what Im talking about ,it’s about the willing, the willing to let a baby that needs to be taken care of in the wrong hands and that’s precisely what parents try not to let happend to their children and divorce is a good example !
I hope you got my point but there is difference between decisions and consequences , decisions and choices can affect the turn of events, and here :”what you can say about the divorce ? and the babies in there ?” you’re are talking about the consequences , but I was refering to the fact of “willing to abbandon you’re own baby” which is instinctly far away from the possible, that’s a pure human nature, Peter could loose the baby , under some circumstances, but he won’t be able/willing to admit abandonning a part of him , so of course he will go back for him , THAT WHAT WILL MAKE HIM A GOOD MAN, even olivia (despite what this could cause her) would feel innerly disappointed if the great man she loved would take no action for the sake of his child.
and I didn’t mentien talking about two babies’ case ’cause it’s different and making the choice will be almost impossible ! It may lead him to St Claires after all :D

Did anyone find those seconds with Walternate and Fauxlivia uber creepy? It could only have been creepier if AltBrandon came to meet Fauxlivia. Me thinks that Fauxlivia is going to figure out that Walternate is planning to lure Petah back to Over There and I think she’s going to do the right thing and not let that happen (especially if Petah is going to be used to fire up the AltBBM).

Methinks Newton switched Faux’s birthcontrol pills or whoever supplied her with them did. Newton had that crafty smile on his face as he lay dying. I remember him once telling our Olivia what her weakness was. Guess he figured out Faux had a similar one and goaded her into doing her duty to save the world…or else Peter switched out her stuff to get her knocked up…nahm he would do that, would he?

Oh you are so right about Newton. I dont think Alt-liv was gonna go there with Peter until Newton got inside her head. I miss him…..he was the master of the ‘mind games’.
I do believe, however, that Alt-liv wasnt directed by Walternate to sleep with Peter…but i do believe that Walternate may have ordered Newton to make sure it happened. Walternate is one devious dude!
Either way…..not very happy with the story line. But it wont stop me watching Fringe. I just close my eyes when Alt-liv is on the screen! And please ….no babies in both universes. I dont want to go there…

Sid, I do agree.
I think (and hope) fauxlivia will eventually figure out that she’s been used.
