Anna had clearly been crying prior to that interview.

Definite mini-spoiler in that last video for 5.12/5.13:
Olivia – You said it’d all burnt out of my sytem!
Walter – Maybe I was wrong.
Definite cortexiphan reference.

Can we issue this person a ban please Roco?
This should be a happy and celebratory time for Fringe fans, we don’t need some cretin inciting arguments anytime someone mentions Olivia.

God, seriously? Again? What is it with her? There are no fans complaining about any of the main 3 getting more story focus. Nobody is against Olivia, Peter, or Walter getting their due time. Where does this come from? Is it serious delusions? I think that Olivia is clearly the main character and in order for this season 5 to feel like Fringe there has to be a return focus on Olivia Dunham but nobody would complain as long as the last 3 episodes deal with Olivia, Peter, and Walter. From the sounds of it, there is going to be a focus on just about everything that happened during the whole series run, though so buckle up.

Especially if you watch that John Noble video. I giggle like my six year old daughter when we have a tickle fight (not embarassed to say it) when I watch John Noble’s face describing the last 2 episodes. I am excited for 1 hour from now, but man this is going to be a VERY LONG WEEK! They should just play that video for a commercial all week on Fox. Anyone who has been a fan of Fringe would be excited. Yes, there are some LARGE spoilers in regards to ‘Liv but it’s okay to me because you can tell he is just so damn excited about it…
Hot debate. What do you think?

I heard Anna/Olivia say in the B roll, something like; “I thought you said it all burnt out of my system?” to which John/Walter replied “I may have been wrong.”.
It was something to that effect. Did anyone else hear that? To me that meas cortexiphan is gonna play a part in the final episodes!!!!!

God I hope so! They gave her SUPER POWERS AND THEN TOOK THEM AWAY FOR NO REASON!!!!!!!!! Seriously, Peter was becoming a superhero, then a couple episodes ago they took that away from him. Olivia was catching OBSERVER BULLETS (!!!!!!!!) and they took that away. Please, for the love of God I hope that they kind of power up our team here so that they can fight the Observers in style!!!!

Funny, everything else on that B-Roll is just absolute garbage (when it comes to any information) but the very first thing is an OBVIOUS little nod to the real fans out there. Seriously, it is immediately followed by Jasika just walking and then Josh practicing a line from 6 episodes ago.
Also, I like the fact that Walter says “Well, maybe I was wrong”. I mean, whenever Walter says things it just “FACT – Walter said it!”. He thinks about something for 5 seconds and then……..that’s it. For once I am glad that they are having him just say, “Shit, what do you want from me I am not perfect. I was wrong! You try guessing the rules to all the shit”. It is something that I have been hoping for for awhile. No other explanation necessary. No big revelation that proves he was wrong. Just, shit I was wrong. So many things are considered “rules”, like cortexiphan not being used on adult subjects and what-not. Well, they were all based on the opinion of one person. Most of which are the opinions of Walter. Sometimes he can be wrong when he establishes the “rules” of the show.

P.S. – I know that adult cortexiphan rule wasn’t made by Walter, it was made by that “I want to cut pieces of her brain out while she is alive” creep that I hate over in the Red Universe Brandon. Most, though, are just put into place by Walter to establishes it after thinking for about a minute. It was just something that I remember someone complaining about in Season 4, although I thought it made sense. When they were dosing Olivia as an adult, she already had the cortexiphan in her system which is why she was able to live through the ordeal (albeit with severe migraines, on someone who rarely complained about pain they must have been brutal for her to be so destroyed from the pain)

I think this “Walter is an unreliable narrator” idea goes for many things. Mainly like you said, the effects of Cortexiphan, but also the idea that the corticle implant was only days away from permanently ruining Peter. This will be how they explain that Walter was wrong with that too. Thus how Donald is in fact Post-September. Donald is the un-implanted September, and not the other way around, as many here think. Like I’ve said in the past; As much as i love Walter, he is a scatter-brained mess, and not everything he says in gospel. Now if he does something, then that is a different story. his actions most certainly speak louder than his words.

Damn Rick. It appears that JS is on to something. I think that ALL of those B-Roll shots are from 5.4. If you look closely, Peter is post “Michael Bay” and Etta is standing with them (or at least someone who is blonde, which isn’t too much of an assumption to say is Etta). So, they basically just teased us with a deleted scene that (Wyman HAD TO HAVE KNOWN) the true fans all would pick up on and link to a cortexied ‘Liv. I mean, the video is called “B-Roll Episode 5.12 & 5.13″ for Christ’s sake so why the Hell would they show us a bunch of footage from 8.30.2012 (Episode 5.4)?!?!?! That sucks. Of course, they could have cut the scene from 5.4 and replaced it into 5.12 & 5.13. But, as JS says below, it most likely was in reference to Etta being born with “super-powers” so to speak based upon her being conceived in Olivia’s womb while Olivia was all jacked up with copious amounts of cortexiphan. Damn.

Even still, I am sure the Cortexiphan thing will pay off before the final scene. It wouldn’t be a love letter to the fans if it wasn’t. I’m full confident that all our desire will be met for the most part.

Guessing that Olivia is going to have to be given cortexiphan again to cross over.
Maybe that’s why they cut the scene out so we think she doesn’t have any in her system. I don’t know.
Still the whole Etta was special lost its meaning when they changed things.

Just wanted to say that Joshua Jackson gets my total praise. I wasn’t excited to have the “Dawson’s Creek douche” (as I unfortunately referred to him as) in a television show I JUST KNEW I was going to watch. I am now 100% behind him. The reason for that is that he just dove into Fringe with all of his energy, artistry, and love. The last little comment he makes about the ending is perfect and shows that he understands reality AND he understands the Fringe community. For some reason, the cast seemed SO HAPPY with so many elements of this Season 5 that I just didn’t agree with emotionally. They acted like EVERYTHING that happened was the best yet on the series, when it wasn’t. But, Josh seems to understand what the fans want and Fringe needs. Not everyone will be happy but regardless the finale will be a spectacle worth watching. After we all see it, there will be some heated discussion. I just hope I am one of those that LOVES the ending. I have NEVER been one of those fans after the ending of any of my favorite television programs. Just this once, on a show that I also dove into 100% (and many of us on this website have) I hope I am the “fan that Wyman is creating the ending for”. If not, Josh is right. It might take some time for me to come to terms with it. But, if there are some loose ends that need to be tied up, there is still a chance that could happen with some offical canon stories through comics, or God help me a movie or another television run (Netflix, maybe?) in the future. Hell, it happened to Arrested Development and Firefly. I am sure that Fringe could have the second life legs to accomplish this as well.

Josh has been the most vocal about loving S5. I think he said something about it being the most satisfying of the seasons.
Not sure how John feels about the season though I know he said Black Blotter was one of his favorites.
Anna hasn’t said much other than she’s happy the writers had a chance to finish their story.

Yes, he has. But, the way John Noble speaks about certain aspects of Season 5 makes me VERY excited to see certain things and when I see them I feel a little let down. I have been trying to think of specific examples but I am at a loss. Anna is probably the LEAST excited when I see interviews with her, but I think that I have chalked it up to a couple of things.
1) She hasn’t been featured in as much, which of course would excite me less as an actor
2) She said in an interview that she has a habit of moving on immediately when something ends or is over. It must just be the way she deals with change. I personally would be crying. I tend to get attached to things.

I just read an exerpt from some panel that Lance Reddick and Joel Wyman were at. Wyman even says that he could see some room for stories in the future from one or more of the Fringe “universes” (there is an awesome double meaning there that only this show has been able to pull off, well except maybe Sliders). That gives me hope. The only one I am worried about is Anna. She seems to be less attached to the show than anyone else out of the main cast. Maybe it’s her way of coping with change. Maybe it’s because she took a back seat this season. Maybe she is just exhausted. I hope she still has love for Fringe.

I’m sure Anna would participate. She knows how important Olivia is to the series and I’m sure she loves the show.
I think just because she seems ready to move on doesn’t mean she’s leaving with bad feelings.

She’s also said many times, that she’s not been able to look at it objectivity yet. Due to being in the process, ground zero so to speak. Olivia is a pretty intense and emotional role. I’m sure she is exhausted and just a bit overwhelmed. Coming straight from Australia when first cast to what ended up as a 5 year job. A job much different to any she’d done before. Now it’s all ending.
Not that’s is the same at all but I did debate in HS and I was drained at the end of a tournament day. And I only did two events Prose Interp and Original Oratory. I also have a bit of tendency to get somewhat, detached intense experiences I’ve just got done with. Then later, after some space, I can look back more objective like. Anyhow, I’m rambling! Back to point, I’d bet too Anna would go to events in the future. Like, has been said, she’s maybe just decompressing, a lot on her mind etc..

So John Noble says we will see AT playing things she did in the “highlight period” of the series, considering all the things they have been saying about the last two episodes they may as well have put “the alternate universe is going to be back” on a billboard

I am so excited and sad at the same time. It also seems like everybody is saying it is one of the best finale scripts they have read. I can see one person saying it, but almost all of the cast. That has got to be a good thing and not just smoke being blown.

I love watching Josh talk about the show because he loves the mythology like the fans do. Same with Noble.
But my favorite part of all the interviews was hearing Anna say ‘I think the show has has a wonderful full life and I think its time…I think its time.’
For me I’m just happy to know she and hopefully the rest of the cast are satisfied enough with what they did and are ready to move on. I love this show and its cast so much that I was honestly worried about the actors losing their jobs. Maybe a bit silly but I was.
So I’m happy to know that Anna is okay with moving on.
Obviously I hate the idea of them moving on and I’ll be hoping everyday that someday we’ll see a Fringe reunion.

Look, if an actor/actress is talented “hollywood” will find him/her. I am a big CHUCK fan and us CHUCK fans have known for a long time how talented Yvonne Strahovski is and the minute CHUCK was over she was courted to be in multiple movies and was a fixture on DEXTER this past season (and hopefully next season).
This cast is so talented that they will find work without issue. Especially Anna Torv. She (like Yvonne) is extremely beautiful and a very good actress, which in my opinion is a rare combination. I have no doubt that “hollywood” will find her as well.
ps. Maybe Josh Jackson can do another Mighty Ducks movie, I read that the original writer wants to make another one…lol. As funny as that sounds, I would really enjoy it…what can I say, I’m Canadian and growing up that franchise was a big part of my youth

Yeah I watched her on Dexter unfortunately the season went downhill after the first few eps so didn’t really enjoy her role much.
Anna’s already said she is taking time off and likely won’t be looking into roles for the upcoming pilot season.
So sounds like she’s going to be taking a little break after 5 years.

Thats interesting. I thought this season of Dexter was probably the best since season 4. Anyway, not the time nor the place…lol
Ya, Anna definitly deserves some time off. She (as well as most of the cast) was playing 2 characters at the same time for most of the series, often acting opposite herself. That must be extremely exhausting at times. Its almost as if she has done 8 seasons worth of work in 5 seasons time. Now, when she is ready to go back to work, I believe that she will have no problem finding a job

That part in the B-Roll video that’s seemingly referencing Cortexiphan is actually from 5.04 (I think this whole video is actually from 5.04 not 5.12/5.13). It wasn’t included in the ep for some irritating reason. It’s when Peter gets back with the necklace and talks about the Observer reading his thoughts. I wish they had stuck with Etta’s Observer-blocking abilities being tied to Cortexiphan exposure.

I know the part where Peter is talking is, but ALL of the videos seem to take place in the same lab part. Our heroes wear basically the same clothes in every episode. Is there not a chance that the cortexiphan part is from an upcoming episode? What tells you differently, opposed to the subsequent parts of the “B-Roll” that it is all from 6 episodes (soon to be 7) ago? Not saying you are wrong, I guess I am more or less HOPING you are wrong. I think that the showrunners know their fans WAY TOO WELL to tease us with that at this critical juncture. It is just too important of a little conversation to just have at the beginning of the video.

Damn, I think you are right. I have paused the video and it looks like I can see Etta standing there right beyond Walter AND Peter looks like he just avoided the “Michael Bay” (that’s an explosion for all you non-Transformers fans). I definitely think that:
A) You are definitely CORRECT
B) I am pissed that they would tease us like that! Damn!

Yeah its definitely from 504. What I don’t understand is why would they change it. They led us to believe from 4/19 that Etta was special and then they go and basically change the her story. Its even worse in that they actually filmed the scene.
I’m baffled as to why they changed it.
