The schedule for the final season of Fringe has been made clearer with confirmation of the upcoming lowatus breaks.
Per Seriable:
Earlier this week, the date for the series finale of Fringe was revealed, with fans marking their calendars for February 1, 2013. With the season starting on September 28, this obviously signals an interrupted run, with a couple of lowatus breaks ‘extending’ the 13-episode final season.
Showrunner J.H. Wyman has confirmed to TV Line that the final chapter will indeed have “two little breaks”, with the first arriving after the October 19 episode, “The Bullet That Saved The World“. He said:
Four [episodes], and then two… and the rest is a[n uninterrupted] run-on.

Fine by me, I’m just so happy to have a Season 5. The longer this is stretched out the better.

I’m pleased with this, as it means Fringe will have run 2008-2013- a five

I think the opposite, but there has been a LOT of story in the relatively short amount of time. It does feel longer though.

What’s most impressive to me is that the show will have made it to 100 episodes by the end. That’s a milestone to be proud of, especially for a show that’s struggled for years with low ratings.
