The intro sequence for the final chapter of Fringe has been revealed. Continue reading if you want to find out what it looks like..

Fox head of scheduling @MaskedScheduler tweeted the following screencap from the final season opening:

#FRINGE has a new opening for the 13 episode series ending saga. Here’s a sneak peek — @MaskedScheduler

Allowing for the possibility of a variation or two in the actual opening, the image is from the “Letters Of Transit” intro, which would make sense giving that the final season will continue the plot seeded in that episode.

Here’s the 4.19 (and final season) opening below:

No!!! I would much rather them use the one they used from season 4 or better yet use the the one from the first three seasons (we’re practically in the same timeline now anyway, there is no bridge and Peter is back and Olivia remembers). Oh well, when the episode actually airs this probably be the thing I care about the least, but right now it bugs me.

Well-loved. Like: Thumb up 12

Because Olivia remembers we’re “practically” in the same timeline? No, no, no…
And a closed bridge has nothing to do with timelines…

I know we’re not really in the same timeline, I just wanted to come up with excuses so that they could go back to the blue titles. I guess we never will now since there is essentially no chance of us going back to the original timeline. Even though according to the Observer, its the same timeline just minus Peter so…. yeah.

Let’s remember that there’s no more budget.
If already there’s a opening that works with the themes that are going to be treated in the season, why not?.
And like the ones before, is very well done.

I’m sort of bittersweet as well .. I mean I love the intro but it makes season 5 feel a little too different I think, I sort of wanted an Observer variation of the classic title screen :(

eeehhhh…one of things that I always loved about Fringe was how they incorporated even the opening title sequence into the story. I am okay with this intro, because it IS being used as a plot telling device. But, I hope that we see SOME jumping back to the “present” and get “old bluey” as well.
