This looks great! So good to look forward to all the remaining episodes without having to wonder if this season is the last. Think this will be the ep where we finally see inside Astrid’s “hippie pad”, or was that something promised that got cut?

I like how they place they ran to safety was a YELLOW CAB! Henry is her safe place.

And isn’t the guy pointing to them her stepdad? So she’s feeling threatened and visualizes that as her stepdad, they run to safety in the yellow cab. I hope we get to see Peter and projection Peter face off, then Peter can see what he needs to live up to! This will be so fun to watch!

Yes! I saw stepdad, too. It’ll be awesome to dissect this episode to see what each character is afraid of.

Chris Bradford is listed in the credits at IMDb as Olivia’s Stepfather in this episode. This should be a doozy!

Interesting.
Don’t so much like the idea of a crossover (“fringeception”. Something original would have been cooler) – don’t take that as me being negative, it’s just a preference.
But three weeks!? whhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhy? I only just got used to the idea of a two week break, but now there a whole other week!?

Fringe is doing this since the pilot, before Inception

i dunno about that, it was more like Altered States than inception and they always implied that she went to another place not into a mind in my opinion, meaning that the things done while in an altered state affected the world(s) outside of olivia’s mind; they had physical effects. I don’t like the idea of inception suddenly being in FRINGE because it was popular. It was a cool idea but it wasn’t amazing in my opinion. I also wish they would have stuck to their own original ideas and stay out of a cartoonish world in someone’s mind and focus on the G** **** mythology and things that have physical, lasting effects within the actual show already and stop stalling and making me wade through b*** **** to find and enjoy the observer mythology and retro-futuristic science stuff

Brown Betty was a story being visualized for us like a video story book. That’s completely different than fringeception with LSD. I mean come on, really? this show is getting insanely off topic and big shiny distraction laden. What happened to blue lights and walking through walls and cylinders and observers and cool weird mad scientist Walter

yes…I’ve noticed that they’ve been trying to push the boundaries just for the sake of pushing the boundaries.

From the material witnessed in the promo, I’m not talking about the dream-aspect, I’m talking more the people chasing them. Very similar to the projections in ‘Inception’.

Let’s be honest, we are getting ready to take a trip into OLIVIA DUNHAM’S BRAIN!!!! I think we all realize that there is plenty of material to draw from. I mean, there is all kinds of stuff up there. There are other people’s thoughts (Altlivia, John Scott, William Bell) and of course her subconscious (emotions: fears, nightmares, memories, people, places, things, etc…). It is a cacophony of intensity up there. Couple that with latent Cortexiphan and LSD and you could have the wildest ride imaginable. The question isn’t so much “where will they go?” but “where WON’T they go?”.

As much as I’m excited for this episode I still think it’s dumb that we are going to explore Olivia’s mind and not Bell’s. A mysterious man with many important secrets returns from the dead for a couple of days and no one asks him anything of any significance? What the hell? I really hoped we would get some answers from this storyline, but it looks like it’ll just be a waste of two episodes.

Seemingly Belly is still occupying Olivia. Even if he wasn’t still, chances are that she will glean residual information.
But I do agree that it’s frustrating asking the wrong question to the person with the answers. I hope this plot device is used to metaphorically rip open our minds. I know there’s will be. Walter’s drug cocktail, anyone?

I agree. This show is getting very frustrating. When I watch a new episode now I can’t help but see wasted potential and time in terms of telling the real story here.

it’s like the show went “oh hey the guy with all the answers is here, let’s do everything except ask an important question”
like that South Park where the world has a chance to ask God any question about anything and Stan asks God why he hasn’t gotten his period yet. Literally the perfect illustration of the least relevant question to the situation.

the thing that really bugs me is that there have been far too many episodes like that for some 1 second reveal of everything at the end of all of this to make me completely satisfied anymore unless they have come up with a whole new and inspiring way to do so. let’s hope they can rewrite that book for all of our sakes.

John Scott ?? no i don’t think so … Walter said to her if she will go to the tank again and connect to him she will not be able to remember him again , so i guess she did delete him from her memory
It will be interesting if we will see little Peter and projection Peter .

Thinking about your comments Matt I think you’re right, if we look back the last episode this season with a reveal on the middle of the episode was 6955khz, well I could consider 6B, but it didn’t have the weight it was supposed to (come on Walter and Broyles were the only ones who took the fact that the world is starting to decay seriously!) and the last relevant episode was Subject 13, not considering Concentrate and Ask Again and Immortality. Now, I hope they were saving the best for the finale, as for the “The storyline for this episode isn’t original” comments, well I disagree in part, of course that “entering a subject’s mind” is too much like Inception, but tell me isn’t that awsome? And now the characters have the chance to save and get to know more Olivia and if they (and the writers) are smart take some information form Bell, so let’s not make negative comments about the episode before watching it =).

Ops, I forgot to consider “Bloodline” as a relevant episode.

I really hate to be negative about this show because during the summer after season one I thought it was the best thing ever to happen and completely trusted them to impress me, but I have to say:
if I really just wanted to see something cool that wasn’t relevant to FRINGE the story or could simply give me the tiniest bit of insight into it through some blurry picture or something lame, I could just take some LSD myself no?

though on a positive note, I wonder if those dudes in season 1 were right and William Bell really is the devil. Maybe he just wanted Olivia’s powers for his own vagenda and decided that stealing her body was the only way to do so and a convenient way to get back over here. Maybe he is evil after all? that would be a cool twist.

Hmmmm.. I may be looking too much into it, BUT, in the promo when Olivia’s heart stops and the doctor is about to jolt her heart…look at the clock in the background. I know you can actually tell what time it is, but judging on the relative positions of the hands on the clock….it seems to be near 6:02…. something to think about!!!
