The balance of power will tip over after this episode. In war, there are no winners. Everyone loses, and boy: are we (over here) gonna lose BIG!!

The tone in which Walter said to Peter: ‘every time the Observer shows up it had something to do with you’ made me curious. It sounds a bit… resentfull or something. Don’t you think?

It seems like the observers are trying to save Peter again because it’s the same kind of situation that happened w/ Rosco’s son: the observer said “he’s still alive” and then he died. The only thing about the animated comic that made that all happen was when the boy caught the firefly. If that boy was Peter then we know that Walter played a part in Rosco’s son’s death. But to save Peter’s life the Observer might have to do something like September did. Something crazy and unexpected.

Ok so then September saying “He’s still alive” at the end of “Marionette” is a good thing, right? :O

Except that child in the comic was named Madison not Peter and it seemed to be a girl.

I think they’re referring to the little boy who caught the firefly, which ultimately led to Madison chasing the firefly and getting lost. Which technically could be Peter… I’m not ruling it out. But my theory is that Walter is the one who gave Bobby and Sarah the ride into town right before they were killed. There never was much explanation on who that guy was.

Omg, what’s that story??? :O
What firefly chase? Who are Madison, Boddy, and Sarah?? Is that important to know to watch the reste of the show??
Or is it the comic-book stuff?

If the Observers did, in fact, bring Bobby through time WITH them, who else have they brought on that ride? Would they do it again?

And for what reason? To hear the words, “I’ve set everything in motion,” sounds ominous and hopeless, especially coming from such mysterious figures like the Observers. However, we could be witnessing the beginning of them actively getting involved to head off this impending war of universes which undoubtedly means loss of live on both sides…as we’ve already witnessed with alternate Broyles.

Man this episode looking exciting!

I love it that whenever Anna Torv talks in a sneak peek or interview her australian accent kicks back in, even though Olivia doesn’t have one. It’s so funny! :P

Lizw65 mentioned on another post that this whole doomsday machine may be a complete fake out, and it is really the thing that heals the universes rather than being a tool to destroy one. I tend to agree with that theory and the Observers are getting things in place for this healing to happen. They might as well heal Peter and Olivia at the same time.

Perhaps the Oberservers need Walter, Peter and Olivia’s help to extinguish Walternate et al, as we know that they want to destroy this side because they mistakenly beleive that they want to destroy his world.

Less than a week!!!!!!!!!!!

Love your theory! :D
So what about this: the machine actually IS a total fake-out because…. Peter himself is the whole thing!! But that would be a little freaky to tell him so everyone has him working on the machine INSTEAD, so he’ll start controling his abilities of whatever it is he’s suppose to do.

Laeti8560- You just may have something there. That totally ties into the theory of Peter being special and haveing these yet to be revealed abilities that make him so special

The Observes need our team to stop Walternet, yet the SHOOT Petet with their ultra-out-of-this-world (literally) gun? why don’t they just shoot Walternet and get it over with? due to their code of.. ethics? Oh, please..

Yeah but this time it seems that he flies through the air, whereas the last time (1×04) he simply fell to the ground. I guess they are giving him a bigger jolt — perhaps to activate him this time so he can work the machine!!!

well you right it is different than the time he was shot in season 1 ep.4.. that was more of a tranquilizing shot than a blow your ass outta here shot.. which their guns seem to mostly do. i think in season 1/4 that was a different gun altogether?

lets not get nerdy..er

hahah. Yeah, if there’s an observer gun, peter will be shot with it. If there is a needle full of adrenaline, it will go into Olivia. Also, I think you can almost count on a needle going into someone in a Fringe episode the way you can count on a car going into a pond on a Dukes of Hazard episode.

Will Christopher Lloyd’s character be recurring like William Bell, or is this just a one-off thing like Alistair Peck in White Tulip?

Uh wow this episode looks awesome. I love the Observer fighting, very Brown Betty. Let’s see what other connections pop up. I am still waiting to learn about the beacon. As someone mentioned earlier, it could be part of the machine. I think it’s possible given that the observers felt like they had to hide it. There are other possibilities that connect with recent spoilers, but I won’t be dropping those here. I think we may get some juicy answers in this ep., and of course they’ll be accompanied by more questions. Yay Fringe Fridays!
