Anna Torv looks ahead to the final season of Fringe in a new THR interview. Check it out below the jump.
Among the ground covered, Torv talks about (very mild ‘spoilers’):
- The final season representing a “massive reset”.
- Olivia’s “endearing” introduction into the 2036 world.
- The advantage she feels in knowing how the series ends (as opposed to not knowing).
- Her hopes for a happy ending for Olivia and Peter, Altlivia to pop up before the end, and the return of Charlie and Lincoln.
- Her hope for the series to end well. “I’ve put a lot into this”.
- Production for Season 5 begins Thursday, Jul 19.

How awesome is this woman – I am so sad to see the end of this show.
I am happy with what she said however, it gives me hope that the show is going to end well. Anyway that is what I got from this interview.

I wasn’t that excited about the cast originally (with the exception of John Noble) but man are we lucky as fans. Joshua Jackson especially. This guy completely immersed himself into the whole Fringe universe. Awesome.. I think this is the only show I can honestly say I like the cast having some input on the scripts, because they have earned our trust with their enthusiasm for the subject matter.

@Fringaholic–
We may see some flashback stuff… At least that’s what I’m hoping for… Never say never…

I kind of don’t want to see the other side again.
I know it will be good nostalgia but I thought 4.20 was a good end for them.
With only 13-episodes left I want to spend it purely with our original characters.
Going to the other side now would be a (nice) waste of time I think.

Yeah but I think they will have to reopen the bridge to the other side because otherwise that side won’t continue to heal (which would suck for them)

I agree with you about the Lincolns, but I’m afraid most people here doesn’t, so I just say Altlivia:)

I’m happy we won’t be seeing the Alt-verse again. I think it was pretty much played out, and was dangerously close to becoming a gimmick. There are plenty of wonderful stories to be told featuring our almost-original (timeline shift!) Core Four – Peter, Olivia, Walter and Astrid. With a side of Broyles!

I am not really happy that we probably won’t see the altverse again but I think there is no need for it anymore.
