Do you think she’s heading to the alternate universe? Sounds very exciting stuff. I can’t wait, although sad that the series is coming to an end.

I’m so excited for this. Do you think we’ll see Altliv? She would have aged (probably just have gotten hotter though)

We have to see alt Liv and she’s probably married to Lincoln Lee. How awesome is this going to be. An aged Alt liv wondering why the hell Olivia hasn’t aged!
Big questions is whether they were also taken over by the Observers? I’m thinking not since Olivia is likely going there for help?

I agree with you both. So sad and excited at the same time. I’m planning a total series rewatch right after the finale. Who else is doing this?

Just did it. I should have spaced it out to coincide with a week from tommorrow, but it was so damn good that I went straight through to 5.10. Now, I can barely wait like everyone else.

I say be thankful that we got a 5th season, that will end hopefully on amicable terms and will fulfill all of our Fringe fantasies.

My heart drops whenever I read about the finale.
I’m excited but sad that Fringe will no longer grace my TV after the 18th.
The press release sounds very exciting and interesting though. Glad to see that Broyles will be involved. It’s been too long since we’ve seen him anyway!

I am going to miss sóó much about Fringe:
first, the show itself. I’m happy we can see the conclusion of an amazing series called ‘Fringe’.
second, you, the fellow Fringies. Fringe Friday will never be the same again.
third, the creativity that we showed worldwide in support of our favorite show. We did about everything we could and it was a blast.
fourth, this great website, which i call ‘home’ a bit. I really feel we are all connected in some way and the amazing work that Roco put into it, made the show so much more ‘allive’ for me. Thank you, Roco.
I don’t want Fringe to end, and i’m not alone in that.
For myself, i will start posting rewatches on my websites, but Septembers Notebook, and keep lending out my dvd’s. Besides that, i will write some fanfiction stories for my internetgroup to read and have fun with.
I will embrace the story of two loved ones, a mad scientist with his help, the fearless FBI agent and of course a heroin that gave her life to save us all.
For me, Fringe was a truly great rollercoasterride, and sites like these made it even greater.
With 3 more hours to go, i can’t wait to see what lies ahead.

I am trying not to get my hopes up, but I really want Olivia’s journey to take her to the alternate universe. It would just help tie up so much story, as the alt universe was a very important part of the show for so long.
Also, from a story telling perspective it must be awesome to explore the alt universe in which there is an aged Olivia interacting with our normal aged Olivia.

That would be fantastic!
Alt old Olivia and old Lincoln and maybe some kids… or teenagers, o even adults like Etta.

Which will be very sad for Olivia. Alt Liv and LL have their children while P/O lost their only one. It makes me sad.
But at least, 50 something alt Liv will be wondering where Olivia found the fountain of youth!

But this sounds so exciting, I really can’t wait.
It sounds like we’ll be visiting the alternate universe one last time

Can’t we organise something like a world-wide flashmob or so? To get attention for the final episode?
Like:

You can bet that after the simulcast of Fringe in the UK and here for the finale, that the Fringe boards are going to be in overdrive. I think that will be as close to a Fringe flashmob that we will get on Friday Jan.18th.

Wait, I must be way off, isn’t there a time reset coming up? Isn’t that the plan? So if there is a time reset there will be no aging. Unless they move forward, but it would not be too exciting to see them (sort of) chasing bad guys brandishing their canes.
Maybe Olivia and Peter are upset because there will be no Etta in the future. And I kind of felt from the promo’s that Olivia was upset because if there is a time reset maybe she and Peter will not meet, or something like that. Or she may have said something like, “How will be find each other?” Anyway, this is just one of many theories swirling in my head.
Like:

I think Olivia looks hopeful when she mentions the plan is to reset time. Peter looks more worried. He’s probably the one afraid to be hopeful this time. I don’t think she’s thinking she won’t have met Peter but that they can get Etta back.

Maybe Fringe will take off on Netflix and they’ll buy the rights like they did with Arrested Development and continue the story somehow!
It could happen, imagine the impossibilities.
Like:

Or if Science Channel has success with the syndication, and decides to purchase the rights. allowing for a continuation, or even a spin-off depending on how the show does end.
I think Science channel could really do well with an original (or re-booted in this case) scripted drama.

When they say it comes to an “epic and emotional end”, well by emotional that can mean a good end, right? Emotional does not necessarily mean death. I’m still holding out hope for no death of main characters.

whatever happens, I’m sure fringe will end on a positive emotional note, we are not going to be devastated when the credits roll…it’s just not wymans style.

I don’t know, I’m going to be pretty damned devastated knowing Fringe will never again have another new episode, in the foreseeable future.

It’s really going to hit me when the screen fades to black and we get that last Fringe symbol at the end of 513.
We’ve always had the excitement of the next ep to look forward to. It’s going to hit me that we won’t have that after 513.
And when I think about all these new shows starting up in the fall it will hit me hard again. The sadness of not seeing Olivia, Peter and Walter again is just too sad to think too long about. I’m crying now thinking about it.
I’m thankful for the 5 seasons but also bitter we didn’t get 6.

Just thinking about the end of Fringe gives me a headache. I am happy we got this short fifth season, but . . . . oh well, why lament, it will just make my headache worse.
If this show ends badly in some foolish, death-filled, ridiculous, outrageous, non-Fringe way, I am going to be so “bleeping” mad.
I want good guy guns blazing, Observers melting and me cheering and jumping up and down!
Like:
2
I want that too, but I want the final seconds to reveal a WTFringe type moment. one in which we all kinda stare at the screen for two full minutes, thinking about what we just saw.
Like:
2
I don’t think that’s gonna happen…I think the last ep will have reveal after reveal until the last few minutes show us how everything plays out smoothly and we see an emotional happy end while a great song is playing
and I would be very happy with this!

To me it’s not Fringe without some element of surprise. But we’ll see soon enough.
