Lol the Observers have never seen someone wearing any jewellery before?

Windmark just doesn’t creep me out for some reason.

Seems like The Observers perception of every day normal life is way off kilter. No wonder there are no female Observers.

Ok, I have to say, that while Peter buying that necklace for Etta was thoughtful, nice and sweet, it was also incredibly reckless. After all, they are known fugitives.

True.

And Windmark actually points this out too, to a degree, commenting on how they walk freely, brazenly, etc.

On the one hand, they are fugitives, and trying to save the world, etc. So keeping a “war” mentality helps them. But on the other hand, it squashes their own freedom. Limits them from doing simple things like, a father replacing a necklace for a daughter he once lost, but has now found.

It becomes more and more clear, that in their attempts to save the world to give it back it’s freedom, they in turn, risk losing their own in more and more ways. Even to the degree that Peter cannot so brazenly follow his “heart” in such a simple fashion, else he puts everyone at risk.

This is the same boat that August, and September, found themselves in …. following their “heart” in simple ways, put themselves and others at risk ….

It’s interesting to see that dynamic: for the Observers, to experience their “heart”, previously compromised their lives and the lives of others. But it helped to free themselves, and others (like Christine Hollis), and even the Fringe team ultimately. For Peter and the gang, they need to become more like the Observers, and *squash* those aspects, in order to free and help others.

Of course, the enemy has been the same in both cases: the Observers, who show no respect for life, or free will, and only violate it.

It looks like in the promo for next week Olivia is getting over her, “you left me to search for our daughter” pout.

Don’t it always seem to go that you don’t know what you want till it’s gone, they paved paradise and put up a parking lot.
