Most viewers since the season premiere! That’s a good!
Should we come to conclusion that viewers want to see more mythology? Writers???

Hot debate. What do you think? Thumb up 8

I think its also to do with the uninterrupted schedule, i think fringe will build momentum ratings wise through these non hiatus weeks.

Good news, at last! Let’s hope this trend continues and that it’s enough to give us another season!

Yes, the spike is almost certainly because a number of other shows are off the air this week. The real metric will be when all these shows are back, so I won’t get my hopes up until that happens.

Nevertheless this could very well be good for Fringe. It may give it the breathing space and traction it needs to gain more new viewers and pull previous viewers back.

With the redeeming improvement in the previous episode, I now really hope Fringe can retain these figures. Let’s hope that at least some viewers will see certain other shows as the pasteurised regurgitated pap that they are, and stick with Fringe.

Also, since talks are apparently underway right now at Fox about Fringe’s future, I hope this proves to Fox, once and for all, how moronic their scheduling of the show has been. Stop interrupting it for weeks on end, you corporate nincompoops, and it may build momentum.

What does the 1.1, 1.2 mean?
1.2% of all adults? 1.2 million adults?

1.2% of adults 18-49, according to the Nielsen ratings system.

I should have explained that a little better.
It’s 1.2% of adults between the ages of 18 and 49, watching the show “live”. Fringe usually gets a lot more viewers from those who record the show and watch it later (up to 7 days later), but ratings only count if they’re watching on its original airing/broadcast. That’s what the networks want because that’s what the advertisers want.

Exactly! This Case of the Week, while not spectacular, would’ve been a great Episode 3 or 4 – it had Peter involved in the story, but not “part of the family” and Olivia was still “different”, but had that same fire and drive that every Olivia we’ve seen posseses. I don’t mind this kind of “filler” – too bac the first half of the season was overflowing with them.

I wonder what the writers had in mind about season 4.
Not this. Not after an amazing third season. Good Lord.

I’m enjoying 4 (especially this period) far more than the poor 3rd, all that soul magnet garbage almost killed my love the series.

I think the ratings throughout this series have looked low, when in reality they are not. I and nearly everyone I’ve talked to who watch Fringe watch online at places like Hulu.com. I think if the networks are still relying on out dated info from sources like Neilson, they are missing the boat. All of the television watched in our home is via the internet and has been for years now.
