With production on the final season of Fringe hitting gears, more details have surfaced.

Spoilers for Fringe: The Final Season follow

Jasika Nicole talks about the challenges awaiting Walter and the team in 2036, saying:

“That missing brain piece has come up in the first episode. I can’t guarantee you that he’s going to be fully there, which is going to be a big obstacle for the Fringe team to get through starting in the very first episode.”

To make matters even more challenging, the team will have to take care of business on the DL:

“They have to be all secretive about it because they’re not supposed to be out of the amber. They’re not supposed to be around. They’re really stealth, on the low, crawling around, hiding behind buildings, and trying to get through secret places.”

In addition, the Season 5 opener will provide us with the chance to see Peter, Olivia, and little Henrietta just before the amber tore the family apart. According to Zap2It, they were living as normal a family life as possible.

Also, don’t expect to see Broyles in the first episode, but it will be worth the wait when he does arrive, according to Lance Reddick:

“They’re going to be establishing more of the world before he shows up in the first couple of episodes. I can promise you Broyles will surprise you when he shows up this season.”

Broyles in antagonist position in LOT was interesting, but I do hope they develop him further.

I’m glad we will see Peter/Olivia/Etta before the amber. Lots of us wanted that. I’m sure it will be a glimpse, but I’m not complaining. Every moment of this last season is going to be important, to me anyway.

Ditto, it will be great to see that kind of dynamic because we are so accustomed to watching them fight for a cause or save the world, but now they will have Etta.

Oh yes.
I see it coming: Broyles and Nina as the unloved stepchilds.
As always.

I’m not sure I find that in the least bit funny.

With Walter gaining his memories back, does that mean he will be like ”Grey Matters” Walter – more like Walternate?

Hey, wasn’t that what Olivia was ”created for”? Staying low, blending in?
