FOX has announced the premiere date for the final chapter of Fringe.

Per Seriable:

The final season of Fringe premieres Friday, September 28 at 9pm following Kitchen Nightmares.

Interestingly, Touch is being held back until Friday, October 26 at 8pm, where it leads into Fringe.

If they air an episode every Friday without a break, the finale would air on the 21st December 2012. Wow. Coincidence? With Fringe, I think not.

Hot debate. What do you think? Thumb up 9

It’s the end of Fringe.
It’s the end of the world.

These two sentences are too similiar for the coincedence.

Look on the bright side – at least you will see the last Fringe episode before you dye. Also you won’t realy have time to feel sorry, that Fringe ended. :)

They found a new Mayan calendar that shows no end. You can google it for yourself. So were safe. lol.

Oh no, baseball. Why are they called *the boys of summer* when they play into October which is fall? This is one reason why the Fringe ratings were not excellent, the first was moving to Fridays and the second the interruption of the playoffs to the World Series.

I wonder why they are delaying the Touch lead in, interesting.

That December date is kind of creepy – I hope it turns out like Y2K. :-)

Lol ! Maybe The Observers are of Mayan descent ?
A cataclysmic event to tie everything together nicely, Fringe style.

Well, at least now we know the date of the premiere. Sure my ancestors were the Mayans, but even the people of today don’t believe the calendar… It’s just another date. 12-21-12. 12-12-12 has special significance…

Just curious, but I seem to remember there being an in show keypad pass code or combination punched in by Walter that was 9-28-12, but I can’t seem to remember which episode it came from. Does anyone know what I’m talking about? Or am I just remembering things incorrectly? (I know they did something similar season 2, where the season finale air date was a combination lock in Jacksonville).

Wasn’t it the code Simon used to get into Massive Dynamic in ” Letters of Transit”?

the code Simon used was 9-21-12 though. I remember in January last year they had set one date for 3.10 Firefly and then they changed it. So maybe there will be a change this time as well, but then again maybe not.
