A GIRL WITH UNEXPECTED TIES TO A MISSING SOLDIER REQUIRES SOME FRINGE INTERVENTION ON A SPECIAL UNEARTHED EPISODE FROM SEASON ONE OF “FRINGE” AIRING FOR FIRST TIME MONDAY, JANUARY 11, ON FOX (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT).
After a teenage girl is pronounced brain dead, her mother takes her off life support, but when doctors operate quickly to remove her organs, the deceased girl shockingly awakens screaming an alphanumeric code. Equally as perplexing as her resurrection is that she is now somehow able to speak Russian and possesses classified information only a high-ranking soldier would know. While the girl’s mind-bending condition intensifies, Walter dusts off some old lab videos and hypothesizes the unthinkable, sending Olivia and Peter to investigate the bewildering case in an original “Unearthed” episode of FRINGE and here’s another mystery: is it an unaired episode from Season One or is it from an alternate universe?

Here’s a new, slightly glossier, but shorter promo for tonight’s special airing of the never before broadcast episode 1.21 “Unearthed”. There’s only one new sequence in this trailer which isn’t in the original promo, but hey..at least it’s a bit of promotion, which has been a bit thin on the ground for this episode.
In case you’ve been living under a rock for the past few weeks – or you somehow missed “avalanche” of promotion that this episode has received..Unearthed is an unseen episode from season 1, airing tonight (yep, Monday) on FOX at 9/8c. It should be a fun episode – check it out or at the very least DVR it…who knows what is in store for us tonight!

As we reported last week, FOX will be airing an unseen episode of Fringe, filmed at the back-end of last season, on January 11th – that’s a Monday night. No-one outside of FOX/Warner/Bad Robot seems to know why this episode was shelved, but from what I recall there was at least an explanation as to why it was made, possibly to fill a filming quota which may have had something to do with the tax breaks they were receiving from filming in New York at the time. (if anyone knows differently, please correct me).

According to The Futon Critic website, FOX will be give Fringe a huge boost by airing an “original episode” on Monday Jan 11th, following House. That’s 3 days before the show is due to return from its “winter hiatus” on January 14th. The details are still a bit sketchy, but we’re assuming that this “original episode” will be the unaired stand-alone that was filmed towards the back-end of last season.
