Dr. Bishop’s Lab Notes - 1.05 ‘Power Hungry’

Dr. Walter Bishop has treated us to his insights from episode 1.05 ‘Power Hungry’ (click on image to read). In his latest notes he seems to envy the power that Joseph Meegar had at his disposal.

He also references his namesake, the poet Walter Whitman, and once again mentions his old institution, St. Claire’s. He seems eager to forget his time there (can’t blame him), and yet he is eager to remember his “forgotten place, the last hidey-hole”. Could this be what his previous references to the proportions of his lab and it’s “walls” relate to - a hiding place? If so, what is it that Walter has hidden and why can’t he remember?

For those of you who followed the Fringe ARG prior to the show starting, you’ll like his reference to a ‘golden spiral’.

Walter keeps up his tradition of mentioning food in each of his lab notes by stating that he’s in the mood for Squab. Washed down with an nice root beer float, I’d imagine.

The lab notes also comprise a ‘King of Cups’ playing card, a feature, some photos of the elevator crash victims, a drawing of pigeons being electrically charged, two feathers, some pasta arranged in a weird shape, followed by a cheeky “by Peter” signature. Walter sure has a sense of humour!
