Daily Poll: Do You DVR Joshua Jackson?

by Roco on November 27, 2009 · 12 comments

you must at least DVR me or the Universe will collapse!Fringe has had to learn some hard lessons this season, the main one being that “there’s more than one of everything” – including TV shows that air on a Thursday night.

But while Fringe may not be getting the same amount of live viewers as this time last season, it’s worth pointing out that the show is performing pretty well in DVR ratings. It seems that many fans are recording Joshua Jackson and the other Fringies on their DVR’s and watching them later when Meredith has gotten over her issue of the week . While this isn’t as helpful (to the show’s survival) as watching it live, it proves that there’s a following out there who care enough to at least tape the episodes.

Will this save the Fringe from the C-word? I’d like to think that making the show fire on all cylinders every single week would be enough to trend upwards. But DVR usage is becoming more of a factor and FOX are bright enough to know it.

So today we’re asking how do you watch your Fringe - do you watch it live, or save it for later? Feel free to cast your vote in the poll below:

I Hulu Joshua Jackson. Being a recent college grad means being too poor to afford DVR.

I watch Josh Jackson live AND I record him for later viewings. Unfortunately, I am not a Nielsen Family, therefore my viewing patterns do not matter to TPTB at Fox. I wonder what Nielsen’s decision making process is for choosing sample “homes”?

Live, live, live, live, live unless I absolutely cannot make it. I’m too impatient. :)

Hulu FTW. I have a DVR, but my kids are always watching their shows on it.

The apture plug-in is so frickin’ cool, Roco, I’m gotta find it and use it.

We gotta start getting people mobilized, it looks like our show may be in renewal trouble.

Plan of attack, anyone?

Thanks for the feedback Joe. I’m impressed with Apture so far. If you need a hang getting it to work just give me a shout!

I’m not too worried about cancelation just yet. Perhaps I should be, but I think the show just needs a few adjustments to get more people watching live (and/or DVR’ing within 3 days). That said, we need FOX to support the show BIG towards the end of the next hiatus!
