In today’s Fringe Links we listen to Lance Reddick as he looks back on season 2 of Fringe. We take a spoilery peek or two at the Fringe opener. We also find out why Peter buys into our theory that the universe just isn’t feeling Olivia and Peter as a couple. And more.

Needless to say, there are a couple of spoilers (including two new photos) below the jump, so run for the hills if you’re a spoiler-free hero. Or carefully navigate around them.

The first promo for the new season of Fringe was very Olivia centric – so much so that our brave soldier was the only central character to appear with new footage. I quite liked the idea as it gave season 3 a nice intimate and eerie feel.

Another promo has aired which includes new footage of the some of the other main characters (and more Olivia). Whereas the first promo was more psychological in its approach, this latest one seems to be about choice.

You can watch the promo embedded after the jump.

It seems that even the Lowatus hasn’t quelled the flames of the serialized vs procedural debate surrounding Fringe. Lance Reddick has weighed in with his opinion on why the procedural element of Fringe just ‘wasn’t working’.

Elsewhere, Executive Producers, Jeff Pinkner and J.H Wyman, talk about how they plan to maintain a balance between the two universes in the upcoming season.

Warner Bros has shared another clip to promote their upcoming release of Fringe Season 2 on DVD and Blu-ray. The clip is from episode 2.12 What Lies Below and features Walter trying to save a virus-ridden Peter, but not before he gets himself in a spot of bother.

You probably all remember the clip. For me, the episode represents the end of a trend. It’s not as mythalonistic as the White Tulip’s of this world, but it signified the last stand of the standalone episodes for the season (with the exception of “Gleeful Betty”). Head past the jump to feed your eyes.

If you’ve followed FringeBloggers for any period of time (in either universe) you’ll know that we often look beyond the fabric of the show to extract the hidden mechanics that permeate the entire Fringe universe. Why? Because art is interesting and so is the way in which we communicate with it.

Last week we got our first official peek through the window of season 3. We learned a few things and wondered about others. But what else can we take away from 30 seconds of video? What energy were the promo editors picking up on when they decided to show us Fringe above the clouds?

No real spoilers other than the promo. [click to continue…]

The first promo for the upcoming third season of Fringe aired last night, signalling the beginning of the Lowatus end. The 30 second promo contains new clips from season 3 interspersed with season 2 footage, and offers intriguing insight into what the next chapter has in store for Dunham, Dunham and (perhaps) the rest of our universe hoppers.

Head past the break to watch the promo, unless you’re going completely spoiler-free.

Media Junkyard have released an interview with Joshua Jackson and John Noble from Comic-Con. In the video interview, the pair reflect on season 2 and look ahead to the third season. A couple of spoiler beans were spilled (depending on your tolerance), so resist the urge if you’re a spoiler-free hero.
