It’s a new season. The birds are singing, the bees are busy stinging people, and Fringe is just a few Lowatus clicks away returning home. But with the optimism comes the worry. The perpetual worry, that last season’s (surprising) dip in ratings will leave the show looking over its shoulder like Astrid in a needle factory run by Walter.

FOX today announced its fall and midseason schedule revealing they will be keeping Fringe and Bones on Thursday’s for the 2010-11 season.

Head past the jump to watch the lengthy interview (10 mins), but if you want to remain completely spoiler-free you might want to wait until the April 1st episode has aired before watching. The choice..is yours.

According to Entertainment Weekly, FOX have canceled Past Life after only three episodes. This news is relevant to Fringe because Past Life  was supposed to replace Fringe while it took a deserved (but frustrating) 8 week Lowatus.

So what does this mean for Fringe? Could we perhaps see Olivia and the gang back on our screens sooner than the scheduled April 1st return?
