-Bishop marvels at the “scientific achievement” of the parasite, despite the wicked intentions behind it’s creation. He compares it to the VW Beetle, and in his own wacky way, makes a decent point.
-Walter reminisces about his past attempts at creating life, and one could argue that he’s referring to Peter when talking about the “hybrid having too much of his mother”.
-Good to form he mentions yet another food substance, and intriguingly, it could be argued that he hints at the recipe being hidden in much the same way that the creators of the parasite encoded the parasite using Caesars Shift – or some other form of encryption.
-Walter references Nietzsche – fans of Bad Robot’s other great show will recall a wonderful Nietzsche reference used when Locke philosophized over the hatch in season 1.
-The Photo of Peter, a photo of the parasite wrapped around Agent Loeb’s heart, a sample of the parasite’s genetic sequence and a cup of ‘fluid’ accompany the lab notes.
